Halloween in Quarantine: 31 Nights of Spooky Movies!

Creepy greetings Readers!

With the height of spooky season beginning tomorrow, I thought I’d let you in on how I plan to make the most of it while I am still stuck inside avoiding the real life frights of the outside world.

Back in college for Halloween I would participate in the theatre club’s annual haunted house and last year I went to a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at a local cinema.

This year since I cannot go anywhere, I have compiled a list of 31 Halloween movies and specials. I plan to watch one each day for the whole month of October. Honestly right now is the perfect time for an undertaking like this (get it? undertaking?)

I’ll admit, I am a scaredy cat so I don’t really have any true horror films on the list. It’s mostly pieces targeted for children, young adults and families. But it includes some old nostalgic picks as well as some things I have never seen including one premiering the day I plan to watch. I am interested in seeing how old works hold up (or not) as well as remembering why I loved them to begin with; and maybe I will find something that will become a new tradition for me to view for years to come!

Why should these plans concern you dear Readers? Well, for my following blogs scheduled for October I will be writing about the pieces I watch that inspire me and make me think. Maybe this will be light musings and joking around, maybe it will be indepth analysis, I won’t know until I watch but I hope you will all indulge me.

Perhaps one of your own favorites made the cut? You’ll have to wait and see!

This is going to be a lot of fun!

-Gail
